REDNECK RIVIERA

When an alien spacecraft has to make an emergency landing in rural Alabama, the only witness is Billy Joe White, a Tennessee redneck with a fondness for the finer things of Southern Culture. You know, things like NASCAR, beer, country music and the Atlanta Braves! JorG, a little green guy from the planet Stubia, is the outer space equivalent to Billy Joe, and it isn’t long before the two of them develop a unique friendship, based on two universal principles.

1. A vehicle, in this case a second hand spaceship, that won’t start . . . and
2. A guy who thinks jumper cables are the answer to everything.

What follows is the most outlandish mixture of alien technology, southern charm, and cold brewskis that you’ll ever read. If you've ever laughed at a Jeff Foxworthy joke, or if you like the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, you're gonna love REDNECK RIVIERA. Visit amazon.com and enter E. Don Harpe into the search window. It's only 49 cents, and you'll be glad you got it.

born wolf DIE WOLF The Last Rampage of the Terrible Harpes is available now at most book sellers. When ordering your copy, give them the title and the authors name, and just in case you need it, the ISBN number is 1-4241-2668-1.

The book has been reviewed very favorably by such notables as CC McCartney and Jet Eller. Here are their reviews in their entirety.

In the history of bad guys, The Harpe Brothers should be chapter one! What an incredible ( and true) story. Don's approach in this book is unusual in the sense that not only does he recount the story of these two infamous Kentucky murderers, he also puts a human sensitivity into the story. No one is born to be a mass murderer, and the line of fact presented gives one an insight into the reasoning of the two Harpe Brothers. It is written in a fashion that one could describe as the story around the campfire, and those are always the best stories. I highly recommend this book to all of my history fanatic friends, as is the case in most important works, fact is much more delightful ( in a macabre sense ) than fiction. C.C. McCartney

Authors note:
C.C. McCartney is one of a handful of the very best radio air personalities in the country. He has been nominated several times as Radio Personality of the year by the Academy of Country Music, and was host of the popular syndicated radio program "Climbing Country," from 1990-95, C.C. now does voice imaging at his Nashville studio, and is one of the most in demand personalities in the business today.

And from Jet Eller.
An amazing story told as only E. D. Harpe could tell it. After hearing of the murderous Harpe Brothers, I wondered what everyone else would wonder...what made them do it? Writer E. D. Harpe, from years of research, gives us the answer. The book, even after knowing the story, kept me turning pages. Mr. Harpe has taken a dark piece of American history and melded it into a masterpiece of story telling. From their fathers death at the hands of vigilante night riders to their grisly end by a posse, the book covers the short, yet startling lives of Micajah and Wiley Harpe. I enjoyed every page.
Jet Eller

Authors note:
Jet Eller is a renowned Carolina film maker, screenwriter and director. Watch for his new movie NIGHT FEEDERS coming in 2006.

New book by E. Don Harpe available.

born wolf, DIE WOLF The Last Rampage of the Terrible Harpes is the fictionalized account of the Harpe brothers, William Micajah Harpe and Joshua Wiley Harpe, two men who lived in Tennessee and Kentucky in the late 1700's, and have been called America's first serial killers. Their murderous rampage through the untamed territories of Kentucky and Tennessee in 1798 and 1799 has never been equaled. They were called Big Harpe and Little Harpe, and to this day remain two of the most bloodthirsty killers this country has ever seen.
Their story was recounted many times in the first 30 or so years following their deaths, but as they were simply too evil for the ordinary citizen of the 1800’s, attention fell away after the second generation of victims families were gone.

“Marthy, hand me my rifle and lock and bar the door. Get the children under the bed and don’t open up for anyone, the Harpe’s are coming!!”

This was too often heard in the settlements in Kentucky and Tennessee in 1799. Frontier men were not prone to be afraid of anyone or anything, animal or human, but the news that the Harpe brothers may be headed in their direction struck terror into the bravest heart, and caused even the most valiant of men to arm themselves and hide their families.

Prime your weapons and make ready, The Harpes are Coming!!
